Look for a station with kiosk and pay at the station’s kiosk with your credit card. The kiosk will provide you with a Blue Bike membership card that you can use for the rental time you purchased.


Use the Mobile App to get your membership. Get a Monthly Membership, Day Pass or Go Pass (Pay-As-You-Ride) directly on the Mobile App. Follow the subscription steps and start using the system right away.


You can freely leave and take a Blue Bike bike from any docking station during your rental time. You can also do intermediate stops outside of stations by using the secondary lock on the bike. At the end you must return the Blue Bike bike to a docking station.

* Notes:

You can ride as many times per day as you wish.

The first 45 minutes of each ride are included in all Single-Trip, Day Pass and Pay-As-You-Go.

Switching to a new Blue Bike will reset the 45 minute ride time.

Overtime Charges are incurred only if you go over 45 minutes at one time.

Want to ride longer?

After 24 consecutive hours, if the Blue Bike is not returned to its station, it will be considered stolen and a fee of $2000 will be charged to your credit card, unless reported to Blue Bike differently. If you have a problem, please call customer service at 1-803-569-1119.

Return/Refund Policy: All sales are final. In the event of a discrepancy, customers are required to notify Blue Bike in writing. If a refund is deemed appropriate, 14 business days are required for processing.
